2025 Battle of the Bands

$5.00WHEN: FRIDAY, MARCH 28TH. Bands must be present at SHS by 5:30PM for check in and ready to perform by 6:30pm. Signup closes SUNDAY, MARCH 9TH.
WHERE: Scituate HS, Performing Arts Center, 606 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy, 02066. Parking and unloading instructions will be emailed.
HOW MUCH: FREE to perform. ($5 cover for attendees)
WHO: Any band with at least TWO members, no solo acts. ALL band members must be registered high school students. Band members do not all have to be from the same school but students can only receive prizes for ONE band each.
WHAT: Bands should have 3 songs prepared for the event, no longer than 15 minutes total. Songs can be covers or original. GENRES are not limited but should be competitive with other bands for judging purposes, see signup list for other band’s info.
SET LISTS: MUST be approved prior to acceptance, and should not contain any explicit lyrics. All songs must be performed live. Please email your set list and a YouTube link with a short demo of one song by FRIDAY, MARCH 21ST.
WAITLIST: Please use waitlist if signups are full. *Bands may need to cancel last minute and backup bands may be needed. Either way, you may still get to perform if there’s time, so please show up and support each other*
EQUIPMENT: Bring all guitars, pedal boards, tuners, and any other individual instruments for YOUR band. One onstage setup up will be provided for ALL bands, including full drum kit, keyboard with amp, guitar amps, bass amp, vocal mics, and stands. Sound equipment and extra cables will be provided. Bands may bring one “roadie” with them to help with setup/break-down.
There will be roughly 5 minutes between bands so please be ready to plug in and go for your performance slot.
JUDGES: Brian Scully, lead singer of Dalton & the Sheriffs, Grammy winning engineer/producer Paul Santo, Guitarist Tory Stoffregen of Enuff Z’Nuff, and more to come!

RULES OF CONDUCT:
- Performances must be suitable for families. Band name, clothing, and lyrics should not contain obscenities or explicit references to violence or suicide. Points will be deducted for violations and/or will be asked to change.
- Participants are required to be courteous and respectful toward other musicians, judges, and attendees. Failure to do so will result in automatic forfeit.
- Use of illegal substances, including alcohol and marijuana, will not be tolerated. If any band member is suspected to be under the influence, the entire band will be disqualified.
- ALL Band members must be on time for check-in and performance times.
- Bands must agree to rules of conduct prior to acceptance.
