Scituate Community Radio’s 101.3 The Coast relies heavily on support from our listeners, local businesses, and organizations to maintain operations. This support often comes in the form of donations, sponsorships, and underwriting partnerships. Your support enables us to remain independent, providing a platform for unbiased news, community-centered content, and educational programs that enrich and inform our audience. Scituate Community Radio is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization.
Underwriting
Underwriting on 101.3 The Coast is an affordable way to tell folks about your business and show that you care about independent, local, non-profit radio. Seventy percent of community radio listeners say that an organization’s support for public radio has a positive influence on their decision to purchase that organization’s products and services. We will mention your business or organization on the air in return for your financial support – see our Underwriting section or Contact Us for details.
Donations
Donations help keep 101.3 The Coast on the air. We use donations to help cover operational expenses such as music licensing fees, utilities, antenna tower rent, and equipment maintenance. You can make a one-time donation or become a sustaining member. Your donation directly supports the operation of WFNX-LP. Individuals and organizations have the option of being mentioned on our Sponsor Acknowledgment page in return for their generous support.
Other ways to support
In addition to financial support through underwriting and donations – individuals, businesses, and organizations can provide goods or services to help sustain station operations. This can include.
- Contest giveaways (tickets to local events, gift cards, merch)
- Station merchandise (T-shirts, stickers, ‘swag’)
- Printing, accounting, or other administrative services
- FM Radio Studio space rental. This can either be a donation of physical space or financial support for studio rent. When we break at the top of each hour we say, “This is WFNX-LP, Scituate, Humarock, Marshfield broadcasting from the your-business-name studio. Your-business features coffee, pastries, and sandwiches and is located at 555 Front Street. Thank your-business-name for sponsoring our studio and local radio.
